I read an interesting article the other day about how Google hired a team of programmers in Denmark. This group was looking for an opportunity and had already turned down Microsoft because they weren’t willing to move to Redmond. Google’s solution was to open a new office in their hometown so they could get the programmers and the programmers could continue to live where they really want to live.
This is a great example of Google figuring what really matters (hiring great people) and not obsessing with things that aren’t as important (where they work).
Figure out what really matters and the rest can be worked out.
Have a great day!
