Starting from scratch

Some people think anything of value must be truly unique. They believe they have to start from scratch and build something no one else has ever built.

If that were the case, how far back should they have to go to start?

If you are building from scratch should you be allowed to use raw materials (which you didn’t create)?

If you are building from scratch should you be able to use any pre-existing things?

If we want to go to extremes then shouldn’t someone who wants to truly start from scratch have to create the universe first? Since that is absurd and we have to acknowledge we need to start with something then why not start with as much as you can. Look to make things a lot better rather than thinking you have to make something truly unique. It’s easier to do (usually) and much easier to sell.

Just something to think about.

Have a great day!
