Brainstorming

You think you have a great idea. You do the research to vet the idea. Based on this you decide to spend time and money to take your idea and turn it into a product, service or business.

As an alternative, once you decide you might have a good idea, it’s probably worth organizing a brainstorming session with a few people to get their feedback. They might have some ideas you didn’t think about, they might have some roadblocks you didn’t consider, they might have some ways to support you that will make things much easier for you.

The key to this type of a brainstorming session is to have the right collection of participants, be open minded with what people say but also to be willing to go forward even if no one else has your vision (but at least you have more information to make that decision).

If you do this type of a session, be organized to maximize everyones time as you will be asking a lot from the others (asking for their time, their experience and their expertise is a LOT).

Have a great day!
