Give the customer what they want

The problem with giving the customer what they want is when they get what they want and it’s not what they need.

To make things even worse, when they get what they want and it’s not what they really need, frequently they don’t blame themselves and instead blame you because you are who provided it to them.

There comes a point where it’s better to refuse to give people what they want even if it means losing them as a customer. It’s better to not have them as a customer then to have them as an unhappy customer.

Do what is right for you and for your customers, even if it’s not always going to make them happy.
