If the people under you aren’t learning it might be because you aren’t teaching in a manner that is getting through to them.
Whether you are an educator, a business manager, an athletic coach or in other roles, if the people you are responsible for aren’t doing things properly it might make sense to look at your teaching/management and realize that if you aren’t getting through to the people, you have to figure out another way to get through to them.
It’s easy to blame others when things aren’t going right but if it’s people we are directly responsible for, we need to start looking at ourselves.
If I’m coaching a team and they aren’t doing what I want, I could say it’s because they aren’t listening but more likely I should say it’s because I don’t know how to get through to them.
Learning takes place with or without teaching but teaching without learning is just wasting time. If you are teaching and others aren’t learning, try a different approach.
