Everyday there are new books being published. New ideas are being discussed. New approaches to old issues are being recommended. Just the other day I went the other way and read a book first published in 1937. Amazingly, I believe this book is as applicable today, if not more so, than the day it was written.
This doesn’t involve technology, social networking, cool stuff, or anything that would be considered earth shattering. Instead, it’s about how to communicate better, how to interact with others, how to see things from other perspectives etc.
Over 15 million copies of this book have been printed and it’s one of the best known self help books ever written but it’s also a book that if you read it 10, 20 or 30 years ago, I would recommend you read again.
The book? How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t benefit from reading this book and it’s one of the few books that I plan on reading over and over.
If you haven’t read this recently, I would strongly encourage you to do so, it’s well worth it
Have a great day!
