Sometimes the right fit is only the right fit until things change. Then it becomes the wrong fit.
You can hire a CEO who does a great job growing the business but then when the business gets to a certain size, the CEO isn’t able to manage the business so they are no longer the right fit.
You can hire a chef to cook a great meal for 20 people but that same chef might struggle cooking for a banquet of 2000 people.
This is why it’s important to keep evaluating people because a person who was the right fit at one point might not be any more, even if they haven’t changed at all.
