Complacency

We need to be willing to fail in order to be successful. We know that with each failure we are learning what works, what doesn’t work and what we need to do to get to the next level. In other words, being willing to fail occasionally is one of the prerequisites to success.

The flip side is that too much success can lead to failure…if you aren’t careful. It’s easy to start believing your press when everyone tells you how good you are. It’s easy to get a little bit lazy when you are successful because you are still “winning”. It’s easy to become complacent and the next thing you know your success has led toward failure.

It’s important to know you will never be perfect but realize it’s the striving for perfection that keeps you away from the dreaded complacency.

Have a great day!
