Create the anticipation

Recently I read an article about Sam’s Club and Costco. It was addressing things they do differently from each other, as well as the similarities.

In the comments section one person wrote that he was a member of both and was fine when he shopped at Sam’s Club but he truly would look forward to shopping at Costco.

This is an interesting difference. In the case of Sam’s Club he is not unhappy while in the case of Costco he is excited.

Too often we are satisfied with customers/clients who are not unhappy. They don’t complain, they don’t post negative comments on social media etc. However, we should be striving for creating the type of anticipation where people are excited and area telling their friends etc.

Create the anticipation and then surpass the expectations!
