Sounding Boards

We all have ideas we think are great. We come up with the idea, try to think of the negatives and then decide it’s a great idea.

The problem is, it’s extremely difficult to be objective when it’s our own idea and even if we can be objective, it’s difficult to consider all of the issues.

This is why it’s important to have someone (or ones) to be your sounding board. Someone you can bounce ideas off of and who is willing and able to consider all issues and be objective in the decision.

Unfortunately, some people surround themselves with “yes men” who they think are their sounding boards but aren’t willing or able to say anything that might go against the original idea.

Having a few people who can be sounding boards is extremely important.

Have a great day!
