Giving too much

Some people like to make it as easy as possible for their customers/clients to make a decision so they say “yes” to too many things.

The client asks if you can do “just one more thing” or make “one more change” and because you want to keep them happy, you agree to do it at no additional cost.

The problem with this is it helps condition your clients that your time and talents have little real value and rather then them appreciating you, they take you for granted.

At some point you have to say “enough” and not continue to give things away for free. If people want “one more thing” they should pay for that. If they want “one more change” they should pay.

It’s nice to be a giver but at some point you can end up giving too much.

Have a great day!
