The coach

A team might have a lot of great players but if they can’t play well together and don’t understand each others roles, they will inevitably fail.

As an example, a volleyball team might have a great setter and wonderful outside hitter but if the players aren’t in the right spot at the right time, all of their talents go for naught.

The coach is the one who puts the players in the right spots, at the right time…then it’s up to the players to execute.

As a manager (or coach) of any organization, it’s imperative that we put people in the right position to be successful. We also need to do whatever is possible to prepare them for these situations.

The coach doesn’t have to be able to do everything perfectly but he does need to be able to know what needs to be done and to put the people in position to do them.

Have a great day!
