Effort isn’t always enough

Many people think if they work hard enough, good things will happen. Unfortunately, effort isn’t always enough.

We live in a results oriented society and it’s about wins and losses, profit margins, and other measurable variables.

The other day the University of Florida fired their football coach (Will Muschamp). He wasn’t fired because of lack of effort. He wasn’t fired because he should have put in more hours. He was fired because his team didn’t play well enough and didn’t win enough.

It doesn’t matter whether this is fair or not but realize that results do matter and the argument that you worked really hard wont matter (and Will Muschamp was one of the first ones to point this out).

Have a great day!
