It’s great to have policies, procedures, and methodologies but if you don’t have buy in from your organization they wont do much good.
People think the only selling done is from a vendor to a consumer but some of the most important selling out there is from a manager to his staff or from an owner to his employees. All the rhetoric in the world doesn’t carry much weight if no one believe it so we must convince and sell our beliefs to get the people to buy in.
Unfortunately too many people think that because they are the boss, buy in comes naturally. Buy in comes from believing in what a person stands for and not based on position on an organizational chart.
