Let’s say you have a big project that is going to take many people and many months to complete. If you aren’t careful that can be very daunting.
The best way to prevent yourself (and your team) from getting overwhelmed is to break the big project into small increments. Instead of looking at it as a big project, break it down into 4 hour increments. Each day, as these increments get checked off, the big project becomes smaller, the sense of accomplishment increases and the light at the end of the tunnel seems closer.
It will take a little bit of time to break the project down into smaller increments but the time spend doing this will seem insignificant as the project progresses.
It’s a great feeling to be able to check off a task and know that something has been accomplished.
