Same end goal

When we see a fashion show we see designs that the typical person would never wear. That is ok because the fashion designer isn’t designing for the typical person, they have a different end game in mind.

When I see some of the marketing campaigns that win awards I quickly realize that these campaigns aren’t necessarily for the typical customer, instead they are being designed to impress others in their industry.

If you are creating a marketing campaign, a web site, a clothing line etc (anything with creativity involved) make sure you and everyone involved in the project have the same end goal in mind. If you are trying to win awards and another person on the project is trying to make sales, that type of a disconnect will result in significant tension. When this is discussed in advance that type of a problem can be avoided.
