Don’t ignore your core

When businesses start to become successful they tend to look for ways to grow. This might mean opening satellite offices, investing in new businesses, or opening new product lines.

The risk is while spending time on these other opportunities it’s easy to start to ignore your core business. As a result, the thing that enabled the business to grow in the first place loses it’s importance and as a result, things slowly start to crumble. Once this degradation begins, it’s difficult to reverse.

Keep in mind, while growth and diversification are important, keeping focused on your core business is even more important.

Have a great day!
