Tell them what they want to hear?

Life would be so much easier if I simply told people what they want to hear.

“Yes, it’s more important to have friends on Facebook rather than actual sales, the sales side will take care of itself”

“It’s fine going against all of the research done to date, I’m sure your gut feeling based on nothing scientific is much more accurate!”

“If you say it’s worth that then it must be a bargain, why let the market dictate prices?”

Telling people what they want to hear might make them feel better short term and might make them like you more but who really benefits from this?

The flip side is telling people things they don’t want to hear hurts their feelings, causes a lot of tension and stress and occasionally makes for an overall unhappy life.

Is it worth it? Would it be better to simply tell them what they want to hear, avoid the stress and let them succeed or fail on their own?

Some days, I’m not sure

Have a great day!
