We know there is no way to add more hours to a day (24 seems to be pretty much set in stone) but there is a way many of us can add more productive time in our day.
How many people do you know where the first thing they do when they wake up, or walk in the door is turn on the TV?
How many people do you know who HAVE to be home at a specific time to watch a favorite show (or. if the have taped it, absolutely have to watch it as soon as possible)?
One statistic I read showed the average number of hours that a TV is on in an average US home is 6 hours and 47 minutes per day. Another study shows that the average American watches around 4 1/2 hours of TV per day.
Is this really the best use of our time? Is the sitcom, reality show, drama really worth all of this time?
There are some truly enjoyable and education things on TV but at the expense of what?
I’m not advocating that people should watch less TV and spend that time working BUT it might be worth spending more time outside, spending time with other people (and not just spending time with other people watching TV), spending time reading, playing games etc.
How much more productive could we all be if we were to simply cut our TV time in half?
Just something to think about.
Have a great day!
