Matching cultures and values

When looking at a partnership it’s important to make sure the cultures and values match and not just the requirements.

As a simple example, a very smart attorney might be looking for a job and a law firm might have an opening for a very smart attorney but if the attorney is a plaintiffs attorney and the first specializes in defense work, it might not be a good fit.

Two organizations might be looking for space to rent and there might be a perfect space for two organizations but if one group is a church and the other group is a strip club, it might not be a good fit.

A fashion designer who loves working with mink and other animal skins might not be a good fit for an eco friendly retailer.

Keep in mind, when looking at putting groups together, consider the culture and values of the groups and not just the basic needs.

Just something to think about.

Have a great day!
