Good is better than bad

I’m working with a client who came to me about their web site. The web site is terrible. The client knows that and wants to go from bad to great.

The problem is it takes time to build a great site. They are being very particular about the choice of fonts, spacing, usability etc. They are making the right decisions, asking the right questions but the problem is, in the meantime, their site that is visible to the world still sucks.

We could move the new site, in it’s current state, over to the public side but he doesn’t want to launch the new design until it’s perfect.

Wouldn’t a good site be better than a bad site while working on taking the good site to great?

Realize that great takes time. In the transition from bad to great, be willing to go with temporarily good during the transition.

Have a great day!
