If you owned a restaurant and knew that people who ordered a certain entree are 3 times more likely to order a certain dessert than those who ordered a different entree would that affect the way you had your servers did things?

If you were a volleyball coach and knew that one of your outside hitters was twice as successful from the left side as the right side, would that affect the way you lined your team up?

If you had a web site and knew that by placing a link in a specific area it was 4 times as likely to be seen as if it were placed in a different area, would that affect your placement?

This type of information, plus much more, is available to those who are willing to take the time to run the statistics. The problem is, statistics take time to put together and once gathered can be scary because they might go against intuition.

The key is, a person doesn’t always have to go along with what the statistics show BUT doesn’t it make sense to have the statistics available so one can make an informed decision?

Just something to think about.

Have a great day!
