I was speaking with someone the other evening who said “I need to get ready for tomorrow, I’ve been sick recently but tomorrow I have to be energetic and motivated”.
This is a person who knew that tomorrow might not be her best day but she would have to act as if it was. As far as the outside world was going to be concerned, tomorrow was going to be the best day of her life.
How often do you go out there and feel like crap, feel down, feel tired and let everyone know it? How often do you start a conversation by telling people everything that is wrong with you?
How much more effective would you be (and how much happier would others around you be) if you took the approach that no matter whether you were having a good day or a bad day, you were going to present yourself to the world as if this was the best day of your life?
If you are energetic and motivated (or, at least give the impression of being energetic and motivated) others around you will be the same. Give it a try, it really does work.
