The “other” 5 second rule

When training goalkeepers in soccer, we want them to learn from their mistakes but not dwell on them.

In a game, if they make a mistake and allow a goal to be scored, we want them to spend 5 seconds (or less) thinking about that they did wrong, learn from it and then drop it.

People must learn from history but not dwell on history if they want to grow in the future

Have a great day!
