Some people believe “the customer is always right” and also believe whatever the customer wants, the customer should be able to get. The problem with this is the customer does NOT always know. This can be best illustrated in the below quote by Henry Ford
“If I’d asked my customers what they wanted, they’d have said a faster horse”
Frequently, the customer (or client) doesn’t really know all the possibilities. The key is to educate them, keep them informed and then try to work toward an agreement that benefits all concerned
