There are so many relatively new things these days in business.

Should we Tweet on Twitter?

How many friends do we need on Facebook?

Do we have enough contacts on Linkedin?

Is our website pretty enough?

Are we using all the latest technologies?

With today’s global economy, do we have a large enough reach?

Are we anticipating where the stock market is going and reacting accordingly?

There are so many questions and concepts to consider that sometimes we need to remember that today, just like yesterday and last year and last decade, sound basic fundamentals will continue to prevail in business.

If we plan properly, prepare properly, have a good product or service, have GREAT customer service and are priced fairly, we can be successful.

It’s easy to forget the basics because they aren’t flashy, they aren’t exciting and they aren’t what is being written about in books or on blogs but the reality is, if we do the basics really well, good things will happen.

If you want to try something really different in your business, try living by the Golden Rule. Treat others as you want to be treated and the rest will work out.
